Front plates? We don’t need no stinking front plates!
(The grille does look cleaner but you might as well go full plateless, at least until you get a ticket. The first one is usually a slap on the wrist at worst, or usually just a warning. I’ve been front-plateless for over 3 years in Wisconsin where technically we need front plates but I don’t care. No tickets yet.)

Boulder, CO Police go around parking garages looking for cracked windshields...the front-plateless life around here would last under 24 hours!

They must have a lot of free time on their hands with not busting people for weed anymore.

I’m assuming you don’t have the Euro-format plates as an option in the US?

Needs an RS grille. Got mine from ECS tuning, they have them for the B8 as well.

On the fence, I personally like it centered on the other grille piece, Audi does a nice job integrating the plate frame. I’m so glad we don’t have front plates in MI. This way you can swap out the grille to a RS4 style grille.

That’ll happen in a year or so after a few other mods (including a vinyl wrap).

For what it’s worth, I’ve been driving front plate-less throughout Denver & Boulder for the past two years and I’ve only gotten a ticket for it when streetparked downtown. Cop who gave me a speeding ticket didn’t even mention the front plate.

We shall find out if I can still use adaptive cruise control.
